Medical Assistant
Cedar Vale Rural Health Clinic
Monday & Wednesday 8a-5p, other days as needed
Provides patient care in a medical office setting that meets the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care under the supervision of a Physician, Mid-Level Practitioner and/or Registered Nurse. Assists nursing and medical staff with routine examinations and patient treatments. Communicates patient's clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Knowledge of sterilization techniques and infection control standards for exam/procedures. Answers telephone calls in a professional manner, directs calls appropriately, and refers patient problems to medical staff.
One year previous experience as a Medical Assistant or Certified Nurse Aide in a medical office setting or healthcare facility. Phlebotomy skills required, may receive on the job training.
Position requires candidates to demonstrate they are a motivated individual who can multi-task with good time management and organization skills. Good computer skills with excellent attention to detail. Qualified candidates are proven team players; quality focused and delivers a high level of customer service.
