Phlebotomist
Performs venipunctures and skin punctures competently and expediently. Has thorough knowledge of test requirements, assists in Clinical Laboratory as needed. Responsibilities include bleeding time tests, blood cultures and blood samples. Consistently draws blood competently and expediently with as little patient discomfort as possible. Displays courteous and professional manner towards patients, co-workers, nursing and medical staff. Labels and records all test tubes, logs procedures and files paperwork.
Must have previous experience and ability to work under minimal supervision. Candidate demonstrates the value of team concept on a consistent basis and must exemplify WNH's "Standards of Performance".
Candidate is required to complete annual education requirements; preferred to have medical assistant or phlebotomy certification.
Pre-employment background check & drug screen required. Annual flu vaccination is required of all WNH Staff and WNH is proud to be a tobacco free campus & workplace.
